LUCKY LADIES were treated to an evening of champagne and pampering at the launch night of a luxurious new hairdressing salon at Lydgate.
Jo Ferns Salon opened its doors in October to bring glitz and glamour to Saddleworth, with a strong focus on offering a relaxing and indulgent experience to customers.
And owner Jo gave guests at the opening event a night to remember as she put on a mouth-watering spread of treats, ice-cream and champagne along with hair treatments.
There was a huge turn out from local businesses and new clients alike from far and wide, with guests including Chelsea Norris from Key 103 and celebrity make-up artist Armand Beasley.
They were entertained by a breath-taking display from fire-breathers and Chelsea Norris scooped a luxurious hamper of hair and beauty products in the raffle.
Jo said: “It was a fantastic evening and I was overwhelmed by the amount of people who turned up – there were lots of people I didn’t even know.
“The salon has been really busy since we opened and I am so pleased with the response and welcome we’ve had and I’m feeling very excited for the future.”
The salon is the third for Jo, who also has well-established venues in Ashton and Chadderton.
With plush seating in the waiting area, soft leather seats at the styling stations and scented candles flickering gently, the salon oozes with a welcoming comfort and elegance.
And with nine stations and a talented team of six stylists, it is already a popular hive of activity, offering cut and blows, curling services and bridal hair, extensions and colours and hi-lites.
There is even a separate bar area where ladies can relax and sip on champagne or wine or choose from an array of traditional and herbal teas during their colouring treatments.
Jo, who has worked across Europe as a hair and make-up artist to the stars, added: “The client is the most important thing to us and we want each person to enjoy their experience.
“People think we are going to be very expensive but we’re not – a cut and blow starts at just £28. We offer the experience of being a celebrity but not at that price.”
