GENEROUS BUSINESSES raised more than £2,000 for Dr Kershaw’s Hospice at a charity golf day at Saddleworth Golf Club.
Phil Peacock and Sandra Newton from building company Emanuel Whittaker organised the day, which saw 10 teams of four players do battle for the prizes.
The day was won by Heywood-based Avonside Group Limited.
Phil said: “We would like to pass on our huge thanks to everyone who supported this event, especially our sponsors.
“It was a great day for everyone involved and thankfully the weather held out.
“Both players and sponsors have been incredibly generous with their time and money and even found extra cash to add to the evening raffle.”
The Emanuel Whittaker Golf Day was first held in 2012 as part of the company’s 175th anniversary year celebrations.
