THE GREEN Party is using crowd sourcing to raise funds for its general election campaign – and the Oldham East and Saddleworth branch is no exception.
The party has so far received small sums of money from thousands of genuine supporters and nationally they have raised over £200,000 through crowd funding.
In Oldham East and Saddleworth, the local branch and its supporters are crowd funding Miranda Meadowcroft to stand as the Green candidate in May’s General Election.
She said: “I would like to personally thank everyone who has contributed so far and to encourage anyone who doubts that people powered politics can work to think again.
“Working together we can make things happen.”
