A STYLISH new look has been unveiled at Dobcross Band and Social Club.
For the clubhouse now boasts a brand new soundproof, wooden concertina door to separate the bar and band areas, complete with frosted glass partitions bearing a rose.
And new leather bucket seats give visitors a comfy place to sit while the tables have also been refurbished to complete the look.
The makeover has been made possible thanks to the committee, supported by a substantial donation from the Dobcross Coffee Shop towards the door and chairs.
And independent Councillor Nikki Kirkham also made a donation to cover the cost of freshening up the tables.
The door was designed and installed by Movawall, part of the London Wall Group with offices in Bolton, who sent a team of four local staff to complete the job.
Committee secretary Jill Drake said: “Now people can enjoy sitting in the bar and hear each other talk, while the bands have their own rehearsal space too.
“We’re so grateful to the Coffee Shop as they were instrumental in this. It’s been a real community effort overall and that is lovely.”
Locals were invited to see the new look for themselves at a celebration evening, including entertainment and a hot supper.
Dobcross Band and Social Club, on Platt Lane, is open every evening during the week from 7pm.
