LIFE’S CRUEL blows can sometimes be hard to recover from – but a local counselling and mediation service has built up a wealth of experience to help people find their feet again.
Back on Track, run by trained counsellors and therapists Pauline Morgan-Williams and June Allen, offers caring, non-judgemental and confidential support for all kinds of issues.

They explained: “Few of us go through life without experiencing some difficulties – bereavement, job loss, family problems, dealing with trauma, stress, self-confidence or other problems.
“What is a minor issue to one person is a major problem to another because as individuals we are unique and view and feel things in different ways and as such deal with our experiences in our own unique way.
“We recognise modern-day living, family problems and the financial climate impact greatly on individuals, often bringing increased pressure and new challenges. The need for counselling has never been greater.
“Our clients come from all walks of life and we are happy to see individuals who self-refer, referrals from companies, or private clients on waiting lists who require immediate help.”
Many individuals address issues by attempting to deal with it alone or seeking help in the form of friends or family who offer a shoulder, sympathy and advice based on their own experience.
But Pauline and June, who work with clients from the NHS and various local voluntary organisations, believe seeking one to one professional help is the best way.
They said: “We all experience peaks and troughs – that is life. Occasionally the trough can be deeper than anticipated and help is needed to climb out of it.
“The climb can be so much easier with the help of a dedicated counsellor therapist who listens with empathy, maintains your confidentiality, is non-judgemental, treats you with respect and accepts you for who you are.
“Although dealing with something alone or with family and friends may initially be comforting and on the surface ‘make things right’, this does not necessarily get to the root of the issue. It may be difficult to be truly open about your feelings for reasons known only to yourself.”
