NICOLA WHITE has reached a major milestone in hockey after winning her 50th cap for Great Britain.
It came in the opening game of a three-test series in Argentina before the finals of the World League.
Great Britain were involved in a goalless draw and later lost 3-1 and drew 1-1 against the South Americans.
The games were preparations for the World League finals that began in Rosario in December.
Nicola, who began her playing days at Saddleworth Hockey Club, is also set to reach another landmark in the tournament when she ought to win her 150th combined cap for England and Great Britain.
She went into the tournament with 146 caps – 94 for England and 52 for Great Britain.
