JOIN THE Saddleworth WI for an exciting afternoon tea and dance on Sunday, September 20 as part of their centenary celebrations.
The event will take place from 12noon to 4pm at the Civic Hall, in Uppermill, and will also commemorate WW1.
There will be dancing and demonstrations by the BACKSTEP BOOGIE CLUB with the opportunity to hit the dance floor and learn some new moves.
There will also be activities for children and an entertainer, a café and a slide show on the history of the WI and the start of WW1.
Then, the WI’s Centenary Ball takes place on Friday, October 16 at the Saddleworth Hotel.
There are only a few tickets left, costing £40 each and including a a welcome drink, three course meal, and fabulous entertainment by the ‘The Threetles’. Please visit their website for ticket information.
The Saddleworth WI meet on the first Wednesday of each month at the Saddleworth Hotel from 7.30 pm. New members and guests always welcome.
