A POT of money is up for grabs for projects which will improve health outcomes for young people.
The Kerrching Youth Opportunity Fund is available specifically to provide opportunities for young people in their leisure time that will improve their health and wellbeing.
There is a maximum of £2,000 to be awarded to youth and community groups in the borough and the funds will be allocated by Oldham Youth Council.
Nominations are invited from all types of groups who offer positive activities and opportunities for all young people aged 11-19, or up to 25 if the young people have additional needs.
Applications must demonstrate that activities clearly address at least one of the following priority outcomes:
- Improving the emotional health and mental health of young people
- Increase levels of physical activity
- Improves sexual health and positive relationships
- Reduces substance misuse – including alcohol, drugs, tobacco and legal highs
