KIND-HEARTED pupils from Knowsley Junior School in Springhead made a special visit to Maggie’s Oldham to present £100.18 raised for the centre.
Maggie’s offers support and advice to cancer patients and their families, with their Oldham centre based in the grounds of the Royal Oldham Hospital.
Year 6 pupils decided to support the good cause and so organised a tombola, helped by the school’s charity co-ordinator Karen Goodwin, to raise the funds.
Tesco Extra and Tesco Chadderton kindly donated prizes while others were donated by both children and staff. Pupils sold the tickets themselves during break and lunch-times.
