TALENTED GYMNASTS at Knowsley Junior School in Springhead clinched two gold medals in a competition at the Eclipse Gymnastics Club.
Boys and girls formed a Year 3-4 team and a Year 5-6 team and both came away with the top prize.
They will now represent Oldham at the Manchester Mini Games later in the year.
Elsewhere in the Northwest competition, the girls pair of Olivia Foster and Niamh Simpson narrowly missed out on a medal as they gave a fantastic performance to finish in fourth place.
Meanwhile, the school’s brand new cheerleading squad soared to second place in their first festival – after only a week of training.
Mrs Martorana, PE and enrichment co-ordinator, prepared the group of 18 girls to compete against five other Oldham schools at Radclyffe Sports Centre.
