Laughter-filled show at Comedy Club to raise funds for charity

A LAUGHTER-FILLED evening with Off the Rails Comedy on Saturday June 21 will help raise funds for the Saddleworth Women’s Institute’s chosen charity.

Proceeds from the event at the Royal George in Greenfield will go to Oldham Bereavement Support Service, who the group is supporting throughout 2014.

Entertainment for the night will include Paul McCaffrey, who has risen rapidly up the comedy ranks, scooping several awards along the way as well as the approval of Frank Skinner.

Television executives were quick to notice Paul’s talent and so far he has appeared in BBC’s ‘Impractical Jokers’ as well as ‘Russell Howard’s Good News’

Also taking to the stage will be Irish comedian and actor Paddy Lenox who combines topical material with observational routines.

The middle act for the night is yet to be confirmed while Rob Riley is compere for the evening.

Tickets cost £10 in advance and are available online at or contact 07866 541560. Doors open at 8pm to start at 8.30pm. Over 18s only.

Saddleworth WI meets on the Wednesday of each month at the Saddleworth Hotel at 7.30pm. New members and guests are always welcome. For further details visit their website
