THE STRESSES of modern living are taxing enough for the most placid of people.
It can be difficult to remain calm and collected when presented with challenging decisions and situations.
Now free advice is available for Saddleworth residents to help them avoid reaching breaking point.
Uppermill Civic Hall will host a course on Tuesday, May 17 between 2pm-4pm, delivered by Tameside, Oldham and Glossop Mind, designed to combat stress, anxiety and worry.
A separate Mindfulness course takes place on Monday, April 25 between 1pm-4pm.
Course facilitator, Rebecca Stambridge, admitted: “Many people who attend one of our courses feel a little worried to start with.
“They aren’t sure what to expect from the group. But often they find there are people there with similar worries and concerns, and that they are not alone in feeling stressed or anxious.
“It’s really good to see the group bond and to see people starting to look at things in a different way as they learn and implement new techniques. It’s great to be able to empower people in this way.”
Anyone interested in booking a place on either course should call 0161 330 9223 for further information and to book a place.
