IT is a family affair in Delph later this year as ex Coronation Street star Sue Jenkins directs her daughter in an award-winning dark comedy about life, ambition and millennial expectation.

Rosie Fleeshman wrote and performs in ‘Narcissist in the Mirror’, following the tale of a love addict, starving artist and lost little girl in pursuit of self worth.
Laced with acerbic wit, punchy dialogue and intricate spoken word, the play is an honest account of self-exploration, as rip-roaring as it is poignant and heartfelt.
It made its debut in April 2017 and was hailed as one of the headline offerings of this year’s Greater Manchester Fringe Festival, winning ‘Best New Writing’.
Locals can see the play for one night only at the Millgate Arts Centre in Delph, hosted by Saddleworth Live, on Sunday, October 22. The show will be followed by a Q&A session with Rosie and Sue.
Rosie began her acting career aged 10 in ‘Peter Pan’ at The Lowry Salford. In addition to an extensive stage experience, she has regularly recorded radio plays for BBC Radio 4.

She is directed in ‘Narcissist in the Mirror’ by her mother Sue Jenkins, who played Gloria Todd in Coronation Street for four years and Jackie Corkhill in Brookside for 11 years.
She has recorded over 200 plays in BBC radio drama and her TV credits include: How We Used To Live, Emmerdale, The Beiderbecke Affair, Dalziel and Pascoe, Heartbeat, Midsomer Murders and Casualty.
Sue’s husband, David Fleeshman is a very famous actor, their son Richard started off in Coronation Street and now stars in the West End and Broadway, and their other daughter Emily is also an actress – resulting in their nickname ‘Manchester’s First Family of Theatre’.
