A NIGHT of live Soul and Motown music will fill Uppermill Civic Hall during a charity event in aid of Dr Kershaw’s Hospice.
On Saturday, November 30, seven-piece band Technique will take to the stage from 7pm to bring Motown Mania to the village.
Top Motown and Northern Soul DJ Carl H Spiers will also entertain, and there will be a raffle to raise funds.
Band member Mel Brierley said: “All of us are looking forward to this night and, if it is an extremely successful one, we would be looking to repeat the event next year.”
Tickets costing £10 are available from Uppermill Post Office, Dr Kershaw’s Hospice in Royton and Dr Kershaw’s Charity Shop in Lees.
