AN AMBITIOUS Denshaw mum is helping to keep children looking their best by opening a designer childrenswear store.
Jess Davey, 28, decided to follow her passion for children’s fashion after giving birth to daughter Maisie, now 18 months, and launched Kiddie Couture in Lees last month.
Supported by partner Ian Taylor, she designed and refurbished the shop, which is stocked full of fashionable autumn and winter pieces for 0-14 year olds.
Lines includes Little Mark Jacobs, Hugo Boss, DKNY, Billeblush, Beauty and the Bib, Angel’s Face and BamBam clothing for both boys and girls.
Jess, who previously worked in event management, said: “I have always loved children’s designer clothing.
“I wanted to make the shop look happy and bright to show off the designer clothes. I’m really excited about this and I hope people like what I have to offer.”

And the hard-working mum is aiming big after already teaming up with baby groups and nurseries, including Cheeky Chimps, Pitter Patter, Swan Meadow and Diggle Nursery, to provide special offers for parents and parties.
The shop marked its opening with a bang, offering cupcakes and balloon modelling with Fairy Sparkles for the children, and Bucks Fizz for the parents.
