NATIONAL brass champions Brighouse and Rastrick are making a special appearance in Uppermill this month for ‘Last Night of the Saddleworth Proms’.
There are only a few tickets remaining for the concert on Saturday, November 4 at the Civic Hall, starting at 7.30pm with compere David Hoyle from BBC Radio Leeds.
Brighouse and Rastrick are fresh from winning the prestigious title last month at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
Their music will include Jerusalem, The Dam Busters theme, Land of Hope and Glory, Pomp and Circumstance, Nimrod, Fantasia of British Sea Songs, famous British marches, and other Prom favourites.
Phil Beckwith, organiser, said: “Bring your flags and bunting along and get ready to enjoy a fantastic programme of music on a terrific night.
“Brighouse and Rastrick have just been crowed the best band in the United Kingdom and we’re really looking forward to them coming to play in Uppermill.”
