GREENFIELD is to receive another coating of double yellow lines in an attempt to alleviate obstructive parking and allow social distancing.
New temporary no waiting restrictions on Manchester Road and Tunstead Lane will be in force until January 31, 2022 or until deemed no longer necessary by Oldham Council.

The order prohibits waiting at all times on Tunstead Lane from 128 metres north east of Holmfirth Road for a distance of 33 metres in a north easterly direction
On Manchester Road restrictions will apply on the north side – from its junction with the Clarence roundabout for a distance of 110 metres in a westerly direction and south side from its junction with the Clarence roundabout for a distance of 70 metres in a westerly direction.
*Motorists are also warned of “high impact works” due to start on Holmfirth Road (A635, from Binn Green) today (Thursday) lasting until Monday, August 3.
Two-way traffic signals will be deployed to allow contractors to mark double yellow lines upto the borough boundary to alleviate parking problems caused by visitors to Dovestone Reservoir.
