OLDHAM COLISEUM has been nominated for a top accolade in the UK Theatre Awards 2015 Management Categories.
The theatre is competing against Motionhouse and Royal & Derngate in the Renee Stepham Award for Best Presentation of Touring Theatre, for its production The Mist in the Mirror.
The winners will be announced at a glittering ceremony at London’s historic Guildhall on Sunday, October 18.
The UK Theatre Award Management Categories were created in 2005 to champion and applaud the successful business initiatives and acumen of performing arts organisations.
They are the only awards which celebrate outstanding achievement in theatre throughout the United Kingdom.

PROMOTION OF DIVERSITY
- Colston Hall/Bristol Music Trust – for Fast Forward Festival, putting accessible music making centre stage for disabled artists
- Hackney Empire – for its work in encouraging the debate about the role diversity plays in cultural organisations
- Curve Theatre – for its diversity action plan and strategy targeted at the age-profile and multiculturalism of the city
- Watford Palace Theatre – for its initiatives to ensure it offers and develops services for the widest range of the population
UK THEATRE INSURANCE AWARD FOR THEATRE EMPLOYEE OR MANAGER OF THE YEAR
- Jessica Hepburn, Lyric Hammersmith
- Clarie Middleton, Hackney Empire
- Gaby Paradis, West Yorkshire Playhouse
- Dorothy Wilson, mac birmingham
ACHIEVEMENT IN MARKETING
- Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch – for its innovative marketing of the production Hot Stuff to achieve sales targets and to develop the audience
- Rambert – for its work in attracting new audiences to contemporary dance, which has led to record breaking attendances in 2014/15
- West Yorkshire Playhouse – for the rebranding of West Yorkshire Playhouse
THE RENEE STEPHAM AWARD FOR BEST PRESENTATION OF TOURING THEATRE
- Motionhouse – for its tour of Broken, a multi-media production of six dancers, to mid-scale venues
- Royal & Derngate – for their tours of six high profile productions “Made In Northampton”
- Oldham Coliseum Theatre – for its tour of the production The Mist in the Mirror
