DIFFERENT CULTURES, communities and ethnicities are invited to come together for an International Peace Day event at Oldham Library on Saturday, September 20.
The free drop-in event aims to celebrate peace in the borough and will also offer entertainment and inspirational speakers from different backgrounds to help visitors discover what peace means to them.
The day is devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and people from Oldham.
The event, which will run from 12noon to 4pm, is part of the commitment to the International Day of Peace that is observed and celebrated around the world on Sunday, September 21.
There will be a range of different cultures, speakers and ethnicities and will include inspirational speakers, workshops, DVD sessions featuring renowned active peacemaker Prem Rawat and live music and entertainment.
