Party in the Park returns with tenth anniversary spectacle

DELPH’S LEGENDARY Party in the Park will return with a bang this year for its tenth anniversary.

The popular event, organised by Wake Up Delph, will be held on Saturday, September 19 at Delph and Dobcross Cricket and Bowling Club, Huddersfield Road, with gates open from 3pm.Party in the park A3 2014 V3

One of the organisers Phil Beckwith commented: “Come rain or shine we promise it will be a fantastic night.Party in the park A3 2014 V3

“We’ve got a top line up of entertainment, including tribute acts Rule The World (Take That) and Only One Direction.

“We’re also welcoming Motown group The Fantastics and special guests local celebrity Mike Sweeney and the Thunderbirds.

“Delph Band will close with a Last Night of the Proms finale with soprano Sally Mitchell followed by a fantastic fireworks finale.”

There will also be a special appearance by Kieran McMahon who recently performed 24 gigs in 24 hours to raise £1,917 for Dr Kershaw’s.

To reach his £2,000 target, the dedicated youngster will perform a 20-minute slot while volunteers make a bucket collection among the audience to raise the last few pennies.
