FANTASTIC FUNDRAISER Kieran McMahon put his musical talents to good use as he completed 24 gigs in 24 hours to raise £1,917 for Dr Kershaw’s Hospice.
The event started on Friday, July 10 and was hosted in 24 different venues across Saddleworth including The Spinners Arms, The Kingfisher, Tesco in Greenfield and New Bank Garden Centre.

And it was concluded on Saturday evening with a grand finale at the Delph Club to raise the huge sum for the charity, with donations still pouring in.
Kieran, from Springhead, said: “The gig went great, everything ran smoothly and I had a great response from everyone as well as making some new pals.
“I’ve never done anything quite like it. It was a great experience and real good fun!”
The young musician performed some of his own original songs at the gigs as well as classic covers including The Beatles, and Oasis.
He added: “It was really bizarre going from a packed out pub to a party on a farm to your mate’s attic to the entrance of Tesco then to a café!”
He thanked his family, photographers, gig hosts across the area, his supporting musicians and local media for promoting and backing his efforts.
This isn’t the first time kind-hearted Kieran has raised money for Dr Kershaw’s as last year he played guitar for over 100 hours to raise around £1,500.
You can still support Kieran and donate online.
