THE TALENTED Pennine Singers will star in a Summer Concert at Christ Church Friezland as part of fundraising efforts to get the church bells ringing again.
The bells and bell tower are temporarily out of action as repairs are carried out and money is needed so a new beam can be installed to complete the renovation work.
As part of fundraising efforts, the popular and well-respected Pennine Singers will take part in a Summer Concert at the church, with music by Michael Haydn and Johannes Brahms.
The concert will take place on Saturday, July 12 at 7.30pm with conductor Marco Bellasi and organist Richard Brocklehurst.
Sue Beesley, one of the organisers, said: “We are ‘bell-less’ at the moment but people want them played at their wedding, so we are holding this concert as part of the fundraising.”
Tickets for the concert are available on the door and cost £7 (£6 concessions and under 18s go free).
