Police are appealing for information after an attempted robbery in Oldham Town Centre.
At around 9.30pm on Saturday 14 October 2017, police were called to reports of a man with a gun at a shop on the Market Place.
The male victim, who is yet to identify himself to Police, was told to hand over his belongings while the offender pointed a gun at him.
The offender is described as a slim, 6ft tall man with long dark hair. He was wearing a dark woollen hat pulled over his face, with a light grey tracksuit and a man-bag.
Detective Constable Leigh Carnally of GMP’s Oldham Borough, said: “This man was threatened at gun point by a man whose face was covered, which must have been terrifying.
“Given that this took place in a very busy area of Oldham, I’m asking for anyone who was in the area that evening, or who recognises the description of the man involved, to get in contact with police.”
Anyone with information should contact police on 0161 856 8927 or 101, quoting incident number 2493 of 14/10/17.
This can also be done anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
