POLICE ARE appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously injured in a car collision in Saddleworth.
A grey VW Polo was in collision with two other vehicles on Saturday, March 7 near the car park on Standedge Cutting for the Pennine Way.
The VW Polo was travelling towards Huddersfield on the A62 (Standedge Cutting) behind a black Mercedes C220 when the collision happened.
A blue Vauxhall Astra, also involved in the collision, was travelling in the opposite direction towards Oldham.
The driver of the VW Polo, a 25-year-old man, was taken to hospital by air ambulance. He remains in hospital in a critical condition.
Sergeant Mark Thomas from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “We are urging anyone who may have witnessed the collision or any of the vehicles in the moments beforehand to contact us.
“We are particularly keen to trace any CCTV including ‘dash cam’ footage which may assist in our understanding of what happened.”
