A POPULAR annual charity gig is hoping to continue its success of raising £2,000 for Dr Kershaw’s Hospice as it returns for a fifth time at Uppermill Civic Hall.
The event has been held annually since 2013 and this year’s ‘Blondie meets Motown meets Morgan’ night will be on Saturday, November 25, at 7pm.
Technique Soul and Motown Band will be joined by Blondie tribute Roxanne, and also entertainer Morgan to provide a wonderful evening.
Mel Brierley, from Technique Soul and Motown Band, said: “We have held this event annually since 2013, and on every occasion raised over £2,000 for Dr Kershaw’s.
“We aim to maintain our success rate and add at least another £2,000 to their coffers.
“We will be performing two totally live music sets, in between which our singer Roxanne will perform her Blondie tribute act, followed by local entertainer Morgan doing his stuff.
“There will also be a Grand Raffle, with the usual great quality prizes, and a professional bar service provided this year by the Hare and Hounds pub in Uppermill.”
Tickets cost £10 each and are on sale at Uppermill Post Office, or can be reserved for collection at the door on the night via the website: www.techniqueonline.net or call Mel on 07939 916646.
Dr Kershaw’s Hospice provides a range of services tailored to those living with life-limiting illness, along with their families. Find out more about the Hospice online: www.drkershawshospice.org.uk
