A DELIGHTFULLY gardened café at a popular Diggle business is welcoming in customers with a spring in their step as they celebrate their first anniversary after a successful year.
Woolyknit of Warth Mill opened the café last spring to offer a superb range of freshly made foods and cakes, which have been well received by hungry customers.
And to celebrate their milestone, they have just introduced a ‘Diggle Picnic’ as part of their mouth-watering new summer menu.
Newly built at the back of the premises, the café, which is open seven days a week, is light, airy and spacious as it benefits from plenty of sunshine streaming in on sunny days.
Nearby to the canal, the café has also proved popular with walkers while the decked outside seating area is dog friendly and ideal visitors on for warmer days.
Adele Taylor and her team have also hosted numerous functions over the last 12 months at the café, which has an alcohol licence to make it the perfect place to hire for private functions.
Everything from children’s craft parties to private dinner dances have been hosted there, as well as special events by Woolyknit including Burns Night, Valentine’s Night and a St George’s Night.
The Woolyknit Knitting and Craft Emporium has had an equally good year renowned yard and pattern designer Danielle Parkin has brought new styles to the Woolyknit branded wool ranges.
Many other brands of wool have been added to the selection of designer styles and top branded wools, including Sirdar, Stylecraft, James Brett, Adriafil and Katia.
Knitwear, knitting wools, fibres, pattern craft materials and haberdashery are all on sale but it is the competitively priced British-made wool garments that have proved the biggest hit.
Meanwhile, the latest addition of cotton fabrics for quilters and crafters fits well with the extensive range of felting wools to further enhance the well-stocked shop’s growing reputation.
Woolyknit also offers crafting courses for felting, knitting, crochet and quilting, which are popular and book up very quickly, as well as children’s crafts.
