Gallery returns to the Queen Anne

THE QUEEN Anne Gallery in Uppermill is returning to its roots as the home of an artist as a local award-winning photographer has taken residence.

Jude Gidney Photography Studio, which was established more than eleven years ago, has just relocated from Greenfield to the top floor of the quaint Victorian building.

The Gallery, which celebrates its 100th anniversary this year and until recently housed a Vintage Café upstairs, was so named as historically it was used by an artist as his gallery.

And now Jude Gidney is bringing a creative flair back to the space as she has transformed it into a well-equipped and cosy photography studio with a waiting area and changing facilities.

And brightening up the walls will be work by professional photographer Jude, who is well-known in the area for her portraiture and wedding photography.

She has also snapped a number of stars in the area, including Amanda Holden and Sue Johnson, and regularly welcomes local celebrities for family portraits and professional portfolio work.

Jude has also recently been following her passion for photographing babies and children, and is offering new-born, first year and first five year photo packages.

Jude, who is a trustee for the newly launched charity ‘Gift of a Wedding’, said: “I love capturing the innocence of their expressions and amazing body language that says so much”.
