GOLDEN oldies Trevor Higham and Ronnie Bethel were in the prizes during the recent Bottle Competition at Saddleworth Golf Club.
The pair, with a combined age of 161, finished in the top 10 to pick up a bottle.
Trevor, 81, and Ronnie, 80, are both former captains of the Ladcastle Road club.
Snow, ice and rain has forced the closure of the course on a number of occasions.
However, the third round of the Winter League was completed on New Year’s Eve.
Winners of the betterball medal were Matt Chapman and Colin Hare with a nett 51. They were two shots clear of runners-up Tad Knebel and Martin Heap.
The overall leader of the Winter League after three rounds is Mark Orme with 16 points, four clear of his nearest challenger.
Saddleworth is hosting a ladies fashion show on Wednesday, February 7 at 7.30pm.
Entry is free with a glass of prosecco on arrival. Brads include Daily Sports, Glenmuir, Island Green and Duca Del Cosma.
