Pub quiz to raise funds for Grasscroft school for children with autism

DEDICATED PARENTS and teachers are gearing up to host a charity fundraising pub quiz in aid of Bright Futures School for children with autism.

PowerPoint PresentationFriends of Bright Futures School (FBFS), the parent/teacher association of the Grasscroft school, is welcoming all to the event on Friday, April 22 at The Royal George on Manchester Road, from 8pm-10pm.

They are raising funds to help convert an old unused school room into a new, bright and airy classroom for Bright Futures’ pupils.

Zoe Thompson, School Proprietor and Head of Development at Bright Futures, said: “This is the first of many charity fundraisers we are organising and we are really looking forward to welcoming as many people as possible.

“With the support of the generous Saddleworth public, we hope to raise as much money as we possibly can so we can convert one of our old unused rooms into a fantastic new classroom for our pupils.”

The Quiz Master on the night will be Scott Childs and there will be potato pie on sale for £2 per person, a Grand Raffle and music and dancing until 1am.

Raffle prizes have generously been donated by school staff and local businesses including Woolyknit Café and Addisons Pet Shop where students from Bright Futures School do work experience.

Tickets cost just £1.50 per person and there is a maximum of five people per team. Tickets can be bought from Bright Futures School, 164 Oldham Road, Grasscroft, Saddleworth OL4 4DW, from The Royal George and Bright Futures staff.
