Yorkshire textile artist Jenni Smith is coming to the Weavers Factory in Uppermill this September to teach her popular “Introduction to Quilt Making” workshop.
Jenni studied under sewing veteran Ann Ladbury for three-years before launching her own textile and sewing business where she designed original pieces for Sex and the City actress Kristin Davis and Lisa Congdon.
Jenni’s workshop at the Weavers Factory is designed for quilting novices who will learn each stage of quilt construction and leave with a good knowledge of the quilting process, enabling them to start their own unique heirloom.
Sewing-expert Jenni will guide people through fabric choice, colour placement, pattern, rotary cutting, piecing and machine quilting and if you’ve never sewn before that’s fine too – no experience is necessary.
