THERE WILL be moustaches and brews galore at a unique beer festival fundraiser organised by the Saddleworth Round Table next month.
Movembeerfest will offer around 18 beers and top live entertainment at the White Hart at Lydgate on Friday, November 14 from 5pm and Saturday, November 15 from 2pm.

And there will also be ‘taches of all shapes and sizes on display as the theme for the event reflects the popular annual tradition of growing moustaches for charity in November.
Emery Burbidge, event organiser, explained: “We are continuing the success of our annual Spring beer festival so have organised this second event in the Spectacular Oak Room at the White Hart.
“We have gone with a moustache themed festival, all in aid of local charities that Saddleworth Round Table has continued to support over the years.
“The Movembeerfest will be a lot of fun with hot food by the White Hart, live entertainment, and a multitude of ales from independent breweries both local and further a field.
“We have always wanted our beer festivals to promote smaller independent breweries that put their heart and soul into making some excellent beers that you wouldn’t usually be able to sample down at your local.”
“And of course moustaches are encouraged,” he added.

The entrance fee is £5 on the door – including a free beer token – and tokens will cost £10 for six so drinkers can sample a range half pints from breweries including Greenfield, Phoenix, Thornbridge, Camden, Riverhead, Saltaire, Ossett, Picktish Shindigger and many more.
Proceeds from the beer festival will go towards the Round Table’s future community events, including a Winter Wonderland in Uppermill and Christmas dinner for the elderly.
Their Spring beer festival at Saddleworth Museum raised around £2,000 while Sadd Fest 14 in August at Saddleworth Rangers Rugby Club in Greenfield raised another £3,000.
Organiser Dave McDougall said: “The weather didn’t deter people from having a great time and the feedback has been superb.
“Our main target was to have enough revenue to pay for an event at the White Hart where we take all the elderly from the retirement homes and pay for a meal with entertainment.
“It’s a really special day and helps the elderly of our community get out and enjoy themselves. For some, it’s the only day out they have.”
