Residents awarded prizes for bloomin’ beautiful gardens

TOP MARKS: The judges visited each of the gardens

GREEN-FINGERED RESIDENTS showcased their spectacular handiwork across the community in this year’s Saddleworth in Bloom competition. 

Chairman of the Saddleworth Parish Council, Cllr Enid Firth, was joined by Cllrs Bill Cullen, Pat Lord and David Caddick along with local gardening expert Frank Ashton to pick the best of the bunch.

Prizes were awarded in seven categories: large, medium, small, container, large and small community garden and Best Blooming Pub.
