TEAM: Sadd Fest team ready to roll

Sadd Fest 14, organised by the Saddleworth Round Table, will take place at Saddleworth Rangers rugby ground in Greenfield on Saturday, August 30.

The festival, launched for the first time a year ago, will spotlight top flight musical talent from local and area-wide bands and artists.

Event organiser, Dave MacDougall, forecast: “This year’s festival already has all the ingredients of a really memorable family day out.

“I’m confident the final line-up on stage will ensure a huge turnout in support Round Table’s mission to raise money to support our community initiatives.

“We are delighted local businesses have offered their enthusiastic sponsorship and support again. It’s very gratifying and gives us lots of confidence to take the festival forward.”

The White Hart at Lydgate and The Old Bell Inn, Delph, Seymour Sign and Print, Specsavers and the Farrars Arms, Grasscroft, are confirmed as headline sponsors, and will provide festive-goers with a wide range of quality food, beers and wines.

Others are expected to join them with their own dedicated tents at the open-air festival, which will underpin Round Table¹s community-wide Christmas party for the elderly and the spectacular Winter Wonderland in Uppermill.

Mr MacDougall added: “Sadd Fest 14 will give everyone a fun day out at low cost – remembering all profits go to support local good causes and underwrite our other charitable endeavours.

Sadd Fest 14 will be held on Saturday, August 30 and starts at approximately noon and finishes no later than 9pm.
