DISCOVER CRAFTY delights from across the community at a free two-day ‘Summer Gift & Craft Festival’ at the Uppermill Civic Hall on July 5 and 6.
Organised by the Saddleworth Creative Network, the event will see local crafters, creatives and small businesses showcasing their goods, ranging from food and sweets, soaps, candles, jewellery and much more.
There will also be face-painting, a lucky dip and free balloons for the children so that there is something for all the family to enjoy.
The event follows the successful ‘Bank Holiday Bonanza’ in May, which saw locals flock to the Civic Hall to snap up goods and well as have a go at making, doing and getting creative.
And the Network went further afield as they were part of a Spring Festival of Markets last month in conjunction with Manchester Markets in St Ann’s Square.
Claire Hilton, owner of Saddleworth Creative Network, said: ““From the beginning of the Saddleworth Creative Network in 2011, the idea was always about providing support and inspiration for creative ideas.
“It is lovely to see such a wealth of local creative talent put on display in such a fun way. There is always something for all the family to enjoy.”
Brand new future events planned by the Network include a ‘Vintage Inspired Gift & Craft Fair’ on August 10 and a Saddleworth Food & Drink Festival on October 4-5.
