Saddleworth artists to host eye-catching Winter Exhibition in Uppermill

ART LOVERS seeking unique Christmas gifts should visit an exhibition by local artists this winter.

The dynamic Saddleworth Group of Artists will be showcasing their Winter Exhibition at the newly-opened Style & Salvaged & Scona Cafe at the Reclamation Room in Uppermill.

The popular show will see up to 50 works from well-known local artists exhibited from Saturday, November 28 until Saturday, January 9, open daily from 9.15am to 5pm.

With styles ranging from photo realism to expressionistic, most of the paintings will be on sale.

The group, founded in 1950 by water colourist Ellis Shaw and friends, is currently comprised of approximately sixty enthusiastic members.

A spokesperson said: “The SGA is a dynamic organisation, full of ideas to encourage interest and bring art to the public view.

“We welcome applications for membership or offers of new exhibition spaces.”
