DENSHAW ODDFELLOWS have surrendered top spot in the first division of the Saddleworth Charity Pool League following a surprising home defeat to Commercial ‘A’.
New leaders are Waterhead Shepherds Boy who took full advantage with victory at Mossley Blazing Rag.
In division two, Springhead Liberal Club ‘A’ continued their march to the league title with a scrap between last year’s two relegated teams, Mossley Blazing Rag ‘A’ and Woodbrook Spinners for the second promotion spot.
The Saddleworth Charity Pool League will welcome Greenfield Railway into the league next season. They are currently playing a series of friendlies against teams in the second division to acclimatise.
