Saddleworth Male Voice Choir hosts St George’s Day Concert

AN ANNUAL St. George’s Day Concert by the Saddleworth Male Voice Choir will be held on Saturday, April 26 at the Civic Hall in Uppermill.

The choir will sing a variety of pieces from their male voice repertoire and the finale will give the audience the opportunity to join in a flag waving sing-along to such favourites as There’ll always be an England, Jerusalem and Land of Hope and Glory.Saddleworth Male Voice Choir

The special guest will be the former Saddleworth-based Dave Donohoe Jazz Band as trombonist Dave Donohoe leads one of the best New Orleans style bands in the country.

Hand-picked by Woody Allen for the New Orleans Jazz Festival, Dave has toured the USA and Europe in various guises, appears in Europe’s Jazz Festivals and can often be seen with New Orleans’ finest.
