A SADDLEWORTH Parish Councillor will appear in crown court in April after pleading not guilty to making and possessing indecent images of children.
Michael Buckley, 67, who lives in Dobcross, was summonsed to Oldham Magistrates Court over the allegations.
He pled not guilty to 17 counts of making and possessing indecent photographs of young boys aged six to 18 years old.
He is alleged to have had 421 indecent images on his computer showing boys and young men naked but not of a sexual nature.
He will appear at Manchester Crown Court on April 16.
(The ‘making’ of indecent images refers to the act of downloading them from the internet and not necessarily having taken them oneself.)
