HOME PLAYER Simon Fancy teamed up with Brookdale’s Adele Keats to win the Millgate Trophy, one of the Saddleworth Golf Club’s biggest competitions of the year.
The open mixed foursomes, in which players take alternate shots, saw them record a score of nett 70.
It was a tight finish as the top three pairings all recorded 70.
Runners up were husband and wife Paul and Gail Rowbotham, from Werneth, while third were Saddleworth pair Phil Laverty and Debra Cockburn.
Fourth place went to Alan Entwistle and Barbara Shuttleworth, both of Saddleworth, with 72.5.
The best gross score was 77 from brother and sister Mark and Kaye Orme, also Saddleworth.
