A TOP travel agents on Uppermill High Street is on the move – but will still be providing great travel advice and fabulous holidays from their new home.
Saddleworth Travel has been a valued part of the High Street for many years and will continue to be so, just from a slightly different location.
From March 17, you will their shop fronting onto the thriving St Mary’s Gate area, alongside the likes of Saints Café, Hebe, Mi Abode and Java.
Owner Peter Mils explained: “We have quite a large shop but with fewer travel suppliers providing brochures to display, we don’t really need all the space.
“We have let out the lower ground floor to the Nail Lounge for the past couple of years; they now need more space so it makes sense for us to change places.”
Saddleworth Travel will continue to offer knowledgeable and professional travel advice at competitive prices to all their customers.
Peter has run the business for nine years and, along with travel consultant Debbie Sinfield who joined the team in 2006, offers a wealth of travel experience.
And with an improving market, he said they are helping people of all ages to book all types of holidays.
Peter revealed: “We’re seeing people now booking holidays they’ve been thinking of for a while. We’ve booked two Orient Express trips in the past month or two.
“In another section of the holiday market, we’ve also booked several group trips for young people to Malia and Kavos.
“They’d checked online – and then found we were cheaper! We can provide plenty of advice and also keep track of payments for them.
He added: “We’ve a nice range of great destinations and Manchester Airport is now offering new direct flights to cities such as Vienna, Tallinn and Reykjavik.”
