Samantha Jones scooped a clean sweep of gold, silver and bronze awards in the prestigious Pet Portrait category for her photographs of four-legged friends.

And her colleague Phil Melia took home bronze in the Fine Art and Pictorial and Fashion and Beauty sections.

Samantha, who has 25 years’ of experience in the field, said clinching the awards at the Worsley Marriott Hotel was a massive achievement.

“It was very big because it was a professional body judged by professional photographers and I was really pleased,” she said.

But she admitted the win came as a shock, saying: “They announced the bronze winner, which was me, I sat down and then they said I was the silver and the gold winner too – so yes, I was very surprised.

“I hope to carry on photographing dogs and enter the competition again next year, and after that, who knows?

“I enjoy doing creative work, but I do enjoy photographing dogs, I must admit they’re great fun to shoot as everyone is a character.”

The studios, based at the Tanner Business Centre in Greenfield, supply photographs for clients in advertising, graphic design, manufacturing, engineering and many other areas across the UK, Europe and worldwide.
