THE Saddleworth School combined year 10 and 11 basketball team were runners up at the Oldham Schools’ Cup competition held at the Sport for All Centre, Failsworth.
Having beaten Hulme, Radclyffe, North Chadderton and Oasis Academy in the group stages of the tournament, they were defeated by a strong Crompton House side 23-13 in the final.
Player of the event for Saddleworth was Will Marston.
