SHEPHERD’S BOY have been crowned champions of the Saddleworth Charity Pool League for a second successive year.
At the opposite end of the table, Blazing Rag ‘B’ and Commercial ‘B’ have been relegated.
Springhead Liberal ‘A’ won the second division while Woodbrook Spinners will also be promoted after edging out Blazing Rag ‘A’ by one point.
Greenfield Railway are entering the league next season and they have played a series of friendlies to get accustomed to the competition. They have also entered players on the end-of-season singles and doubles knockouts.
New teams wanting to join the league will be made welcome and new players should get down to their nearest venue and start practising.
