GET into the Tour de France spirit as the RSPB and local artist Richard Dawson are encouraging families to show their pedal power at Dovestone Resevoir on Sunday, June 29.

The special Pedal Powered Dovestone event includes a 2.5mile rile around the Greenfield reservoir as well as various activities for all ages.
RSPB staff and volunteers will be on hand to help families plant wildflowers while visitors can also explore the new woodland habitat trail and to spot giant bees or peregrine chicks.
But the main attraction will be the exhibition of two fantastic Kinetic Art Bike Sculptures, created by local artist Richard Dawson and Handmade Parade
Visitors will be able to pedal the amazing bird and fish sculptures – which are due to appear on a popular BBC television show next month – and discover how they were created.
During the event, visitors can also help to create a piece of unique giant art using old bikes.
Miriam Biran, Visitor Services Manager at Dovestone, said: “The RSPB is encouraging families to get out on their bikes and come for a gentle 2.5mile ride around the main trail.
“However, cycling is not essential as feet are just as good to enjoy a walk and explore Dovestone.
“Pedal Powered Dovestone is one of a series of Discovery Sunday events, which take place on the last Sunday of each month, and is sure to be fantastic.”
The Pedal Powered Dovestone event will take place from 11am to 3pm at Ashway Gap picnic area. Activities are free but donations are appreciated.
Dovestone Reservoir is owned by United Utilities, who work in partnership with the RSPB, to encourage public access and recreation while protecting water quality and wildlife.
