THE SOUND of Morris Men filled the villages as the Saddleworth side launched their new season with their traditional Easter dances.
With colourful hats on display, they returned to action on Maundy Thursday, dancing at Road End in Greenfield then at Boarshurst Band Club for the admiring public.
It was a special occasion for new member Rob Janicki, who completed his inaugural dance to gain his waistcoat and become an official Sadldeworth Morris Man.
Then on Good Friday the side were back in action once more, starting at The Clarence in Greenfield, before travelling around the villages joined by visiting side Earlsdon Morris from Coventry.
They finished up at the Church Inn, Uppermill, where alongside the dancing there were also activities including the ‘best hat’ competition.
Saddleworth Morris Men practice every Thursday at The Church Inn, Uppermill from 8.30pm, and welcome new members,
