THE SPORTING world has been shocked and saddened to learn of the sudden death of Nigel Cooper at the age of 61.
Nigel was a well-known local cricketer whose clubs included Micklehurst for whom he starred in the Saddleworth League.
He was also a single-figure handicap golfer at Saddleworth Golf Club where he was captain in 2010.
Nigel’s funeral is on Friday, November 11 at 1pm at St James Church, Milnrow, followed by a private committal.
