A STAR-STUDDED celebrity line-up will lead the way as the Ideal Home Show comes to the north on June 6-8 for the first time in its 106-year history.
The extravaganza at EventCity Manchester aims to bring inspiration to generations of British home owners through eight sections packed with exhibitors, state-of-the-art products and expert advice.
And six famous home experts will represent various sections of the show as well as offering tips to visitors on everything from gardens to gadgets.
Gregg Wallace will be on hand in the Ideal Food and Housewares section, which is a one-stop-shop for artisan produce, handy cooking gadgets and a tempting array of delicious foods to try from all over the globe.
Melinda Messenger will be in the Ideal Woman section to give demonstrations on updating your home while guests also relax at the Champagne Bar, browse the latest products and pick up hints and tips on this season’s fashion trends.
Laurence Llewelyn-‐Bowen will represent the Ideal Interiors section where there are plenty of products for all tastes to give your home that perfect finishing touch from clever storage to impressive furniture.
Meanwhile DIY fanatics should look no further than the Ideal Home Improvements section where George Clarke will give advice on tackling DIY dilemmas, and there will be thousands of products and finishes to choose from.
And in the Ideal Gardens section Diarmuid Gavin will help green-fingered visitors find the perfect solution to get gardens up to scratch as summer approaches, with everything from window boxes to large open spaces.
Money-save expert Martin Lewis will also make a special appearance at the show, while other sections include the latest gadgets in Ideal Technology and a treasure trove of accessories, gifts and toys in Ideal Shopping.
And the Ideal Super Theatre will be the centre-piece of the show, where talks and demonstrations from the experts will be held to give you the ultimate inspiration to create you ideal home.
Native Northerner George Clarke said: “It’s absolutely brilliant that the Ideal Home Show is coming up north for the first time.
“The show’s 106 years old and is as fresh as ever. I know visitors to this new show are going to welcome it with open arms.”
The Ideal Home Show will take place at EventCity Manchester on June 6-8 from 10am to 6pm (8pm on Friday). Tickets cost £12 in advance of £15 on the door. Concessions £11/£14 and children under 15 go free when accompanied by a paying adult.
