TALENTED YOUNG tennis players have been pulling out their best shots for Tame Valley in Greenfield.

All the junior teams are performing well in the Manchester League, with the only losses being when the A teams play the B teams.
In the Cheshire Tennis Tournament, although Tame Valley did not win any of their groups they played some excellent matches against tough competition.
The U12 boys finished as runners-up while both the U14s boys and U16s boys came third in their groups. The teams hope to enter again next year.
And as the seasons change, teams will enter the Cheshire Winter Tennis tournament for the first time with a men’s team, two U16 boys teams, U14 boys and an U14 girls team.
Meanwhile, Archie Duncan put in a fantastic performance representing Tame Valley at the county finals in July.
He won one game but lost his second. The event was part of the HSBC Road to Wimbledon Competition National 14 and under Challenge 2016.
