MAHLDO YOUTH Zone tucked into a mouth-watering Christmas party and lunch thanks to the support of Tesco stores across the borough.

The supermarket giant donated selection boxes and £300 worth of Tesco gift cards to the Egerton Street youth centre for their Christmas party on Sunday, December 11.
Lucy Kershaw, Youth Work Manager at Mahdlo, visited the Chadderton store on Featherstall Road North, where store manager Marie Toora presented the gift cards and selection boxes.
Lucy said: “We’d like to thank Tesco for their generous donations towards our Christmas party.
“Mahdlo relies on the support and generosity of the community to help us provide the services and opportunities for young people, so the donations from Tesco enabled us to have a fantastic party and are highly appreciated.”
Marie added: “Mahdlo is such a big part of the Oldham community and we wanted to give them a Christmas treat to thank them for their hard work.
“The team at the Chadderton store worked with the teams at the Huddersfield Road Extra, Failsworth Extra and the Greenfield store to provide the Youth Zone with their gift cards and selection boxes which will be used at the Christmas party on Sunday.”
Mahdlo Youth Zone is based in the centre of Oldham and is open 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year.
It provides activities and opportunities for young people aged 8-21 years old and young people with a disability up to the age of 25. Young people can become a member of the Youth Zone for just £5 per year and 50p each visit.
