IT has been a secret as closely guarded as the Christmas presents under the tree… but now Santa’s Village has been officially unveiled in Saddleworth.
Tucked away in Saddleworth Business Centre in Delph is the magical setting where families can meet elves in their workshop, visit Santa in his front room, and try out a giant snow globe.
The village is the brainchild of Ben Bogan, a children’s entertainer who has worked hard to turn his dream into a reality with his partner Millie Cunliffe and family and friends.
Ben explained: “It’s an idea I’ve had for about 10 years but I couldn’t find a location for what I wanted to do. Then I saw this and it was perfect.
“Then our daughter Summer came along 20 months ago and it was all just great timing.”
Ben and Millie showed off the winter wonderland last month to close family and friends, and even Santa himself was there to officially declare his newest home open.
Meanwhile, other experiences available include: Breakfast with Santa, Supper with Santa, Santa’s Workshop, Christmas with a Princess and Santa, Cinema Nights, Santa Meet and Greet, and a Christmas Café.
Ben added: “This has been a massive project for me and my family and it’s great to share it with everyone. We’ve sold about 50 per cent of tickets already which is fantastic.”
Santa’s Village is open for five weeks over Christmas.
